  • "Pink," suggests a luxurious comfortable lifestyle. This changes when the Inspector's arrival changes the lighting to "brighter", foreshadowing his intention on shining a light on their truths
  • "imitate" associations with a close knit family. Inspector then exposes this with a "harder light"
