Force field in physics is a space where non contact force has an effect
Magnetic field
has 2 ends called the north and south pole. A north and south pole will attract eachother.
You can find the shape of a magnetic field using a small compass. The arrows show the direction
a north pole would move. the field is strongest where the lines are closer together
An object that has mass has a gravitational field around it. When two objects are in eachothers gravitational field they attract eachother
Gravitation field strength
weight(N)= mass(kg) x g (N/KG)
The greater the mass or the higher it is moved the more gravitational potential energy it stores
GPE(joules) = height(m) x10 x g
Static electricity
a charge of static electricity can build up when 2 different materials rub together.
When you rub two insulating materials together some electrons may be transferred from one object to the other. The positive charges cannot be transferred because the protons cant move.
When a conducting material is rubbed. The charge spreads over the whole of the metal object (the electrons accumulate)
Electric fields can be positive or negative

Strength of field
Stronger where the lines are closer together
Electrical charge
Objects can become electrically charged by the transfer of electrons (often due to friction)
Magnetic fields
Some materials generate them naturally
It is also possible to "induce" a magnetic field using electrical current
