• Forgiveness is a very important teaching in Christianity.
• example, Peter asked Jesus how often he should forgive and Jesus replied by

  saying “Not seven times, but, I tell you, seventy-seven times”
• Jesus also made it clear that to be forgiven by God, humans must

  forgive others: “For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you."
• “Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.”
• Jesus also sets an example to Christians as he forgave those who crucified him. When he was on the cross he said: “Father forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing”
• Jesus also forgave an adulterous woman and told her to ‘go and

  sin no more’.
