  • A positive approach to therapy
    • Client anxiety is avoided as mindfulness doesn’t drag up the past as means of explaining present behaviour. Doesn’t change process of thinking but encourages the acceptance of process thinking - less frustrating for the client
  • Mindfulness + Morality
    • Essential to maintain moral and ethical standards. Being taught to enchanted leadership skills (heart of practice = decision making)
    • For example Ruedy and Schweitzer (2010) demonstrated how individuals who were high in mindfulness were likely to cheat on a task uphold ethical standards
    • Improving our state of mind through mindfulness will result in is becoming more moral in many facets of life
