One should have in mind how the actions that they take in the
present
are going to affect the future.
One thing that I can tell you for sure is that you will always
regret
being lazy.
Laziness
Feels good in the present as it gives an immediate dopamine hit
Doing something
new
Is hard and doesn't give an instant dopamine hit, but in the future, you will always regret being lazy and never doing things that you want to do
Achieving
future goals
1. Delay instant gratification
2. Do hard things
3. Take some stress
4. Make sacrifices
I'm not telling you not to avoid all fun in the present entirely, but sometimes short
sacrifices
are necessary for a better future.
