Types of Fastener

• Buttons


  The most common fastener used in different types of garments. They are those with shank and with 2 or four holes. They are used as fastener or decorations.
• Snaps


  Used on flat surface where there is a little strain. Commonly used for baby dresses.
• Zipper


  Otherwise known as a slide fasteners, used to close openings in many different types of garments. Mostly used in skirts and pants. Made with metal teeth or coils of nylon or polyester that mesh together.
• Hook-and-Eye


  Used to fasten openings which have considerable strain.
• RoundEye-used where the edges of the opening just meet.
• StraightEye - it a very flat closing is desired.
