Diode Resistance Levels (DC)

    Cards (7)

    • operating point coordinates (Idq, Vdq)
    • if there is a change in the operating point, it means there is a change in current through the diode or voltage across the diode or both, and when you change them the resistance will also change
    • when we apply voltage to a circuit the result in an operating point will not change with time
    • Q-point is derived from quiescent which means "still or varying"
    • what will happen tot he DC Resistance when we increase the diode current?
      DC resistance will reduced
    • DC resistance decreases with increase in current through the diode
    • in reverse bias condition
reverse saturation current is very low and because of that the DC resistance will be high
