mRNA binds to a ribosome (exposing 3 codons within the ribosome)
2 Specific tRNA with a specific amino acid attached -binds anticodon to codon by specific complimentary base pairing
Peptide bonds form between the 2 amino acids
1st tRNA released and can now pick up another specific amino acid. Ribosome moves along 1 codon
Next 2 amino acids form peptide bonds etc, ribosome moves along, tRNA released, polypeptide chain grows
Ribosome reaches end and releases mRNA and polypeptide
