  dendrites are close to the sense organs. The cell body located in the middle.
• Relay function


  is to detect impulses from sensory neurons for processing and conduct signals to motor neuron.
• relay structure 


  dendrites detect impulses from sensory neurons. Only neuron not to have a mylien sheath and dendrites are short but axons can be short or long.
• Motor neuron function 


  detect information from relay and conduct signals to effectors or away from CNS.
• Motor neuron structure


  Has short dendrites and long axons. Can extend to extremities of body.
