Glands
Pineal gland: is located in the brain. It secretes melatonin which regulates 24 hour sleep cycle.
Adrenalmedulla gland: located above kidneys. It secretes adrenaline and noradrenaline during acute stress.
AdrenalCortex: is located above the kidneys on the outer part of the adrenal gland which secretes cortisol during acute stress.
Glands
-Pituitary gland is located in the brain and is considered the master gland as it secretes many hormones to other glands to secrete that hormone.
-Pituitaryanterior is located at the front of the pituitary gland. LH stimulates the testes to secrete testosterone and ovaries to secrete Oestrogen. It secretes adrenocorticotropic hormone stimulate adrenal cortex.
-Pituitary Posterior is located at the back of the pituitary gland and secretes oxytocin and antidiuretic hormone.
