  • what does the HCPC do?

    The HCPC publishes standards relating to the character, health, profiency, conduct, ethics and training of health and social care professionals
  • HCPC- health

    a person registered with the HCPC they must stop work if their health affects their judgements
    • a long term health condition is not a barrier however if it affects work then they must speak up
  • HCPC- character

    criminal convinctios or cautions must br revealed and character reference is required and signed by a 'professional standing in the community' such as a doctor, solicitor or religous official
  • HCPC - standard of conduct, performance and ethics
    included acting in the best interest of service users, repsecting confidentiality of service users and maintaining hugh standards
    • these also include being able to communicate well with others and supervise tasks you have set on others and keep accurate record
