• Error intervals should be expressed with the inequality notation: a ≤ x < b
• How to change a recurring decimal to a fraction:

  • set the decimal so it's equal to x (x = 0.5 recurring)
  • Multiply the decimal by 10 or 100 to cancel out the recurring (10x = 5.5 recurring)
  • Then take away one of the x (9x = 5)
  • Solve for x (x = 5/9)
