  • An oval shaped hill made from deposited material called boulder clay. E.g Clew Bay Co Mayo
  • Occurs mostly on lowland areas as temperatures increases. as it melts a deposit it’s Load
  • Drumlin contour lines close together on the steep sides and far apart on the gentle slope
    • Forms when ice deposits some of its load.
    • continues its journey,moves over the boulder clay shaping +smoothing it’s forming small hills called drumlins.
    • on one end of the drumlin it will be steep( Direction where it came from) and at the other end it will have a gentle slope (direction travelling).
    • Drumlins occur in groups sometimes known as basket of eggs landscape/Swarmz
