  • Anti-Semitism is the hatred of Jewish people and their religion. Hitler's hatred of Jews was prevalent in his book Mein Kampf.
    • The Nuremberg Laws, passed in 1935, stripped the Jews of their rights, such as voting, being a citizen, holding certain jobs and owning property. Jews were made to wear the Star of David on their clothing to distinguish them.
    • In November 1938, a Jewish teenager murdered a German diplomat in Paris. This caused a riot across Germany and Austria known as Kristallnacht. Thousands of Jewish owned buildings and homes were destroyed and roughly 100 Jews were killed.
