Community - a group of population of 2 or more different species living in a specific area at the same time
Community Ecology - study of mechanisms driving interactions between various species and their overall effects
Species Richness - number of different species a particular community
Species Evenness - relative abundance of the different species in a particular community
Species Diversity - Measure of community complexity; function of both species richness & evenness
Foundation Species - type of species that acts by modifying the environment to support the organisms that form the community (Eg.: Corals, Beavers, Earthworms)
Keystone Species - has a disproportionately large effect on community structure relative to its abundance (Eg.: Bees, Wolves, Starfish)
Invasive Species - organism that is not native to a particular area and can cause harm to it
