  • Solute - the substance that dissolves in water. ex) sugar, alcohol, oxygen
    Solvent - the liquid in which the solute dissolves in. ex) water
    Solution - a mixture of a solute and a solvent
    Soluble - a substance that dissolves in water. ex) sugar
    Insoluble - a substance that does not dissolve in water. ex) sand
    Dilute solution - a solution with little solute and al ot of solvent
    Concentrated solution - a solution with a lot of solute and little solvent
    Saturated solution - a solution containing as much dissolved solute as possible at a given temperature
