Simple Partial

• Involve either movement of one part of the body (frontal lobe) or sensations in one part of the body (parietal lobe)
• Results in symptoms such as tingling or numbness a body part or abnormal visual, auditory, olfactory or taste symptoms
• Patients do not lose consciousness & maintain relatively normal mental status
• Preceded by an aura (olfactory or auditory sensation)
