• Refers to the act, process or power of attracting and evoking interest, pleasurable or liking for someone.

• Formed when an adolescent finds someone he/she admires, and wants to imitate or wishes to follow as his/her leader.

• Formed when an adolescent finds someone attractive and feels the desire to be around or spend a lot of time with him/her.

  Romantic crush
• This type of crush is short-lived because there is a tendency for the 'magic' (or charm) of the 'crush' to wear off.

  Romantic crush
• Characterized by the absence of personal contact with the one being admired. Similar to "celebrity crush" in which the subject of affection is loved from afar.

  Hero worship
• This type of crush often last long because the admirer is using his/her crush in shaping his/her values, personality, and development.
