  • Excretion
    getting rid of (not all) waste materials, only applying to ones that have been inside the body.
  • Digestive System
    food eaten goes from the mouth to the anus through a tube is not part of a body.

    Only things that move out of the digestive system and into the person's blood or their body cells, are really part of the body.
  • Waste
    waste from the digestive system (faeces uwu) does not count as excretion since it was never part of the body. 💩
  • Excretion Includes
    all the waste substances that organisms make in their cells and any substances that they have too much of.
  • Excretion Examples:
    1. carbon dioxide, (which the body cells make in respiration)
    2. urea, (made in liver cells)
    3. excess water that is not needed by the body
