    is not an actual nutrient but you still need as much of it in your diet. this is bc when you eat it you can't digest it so it doesn't go into the blood or your cells. instead, it travels all the way through the digestive system and leaves the body as faeces💩.
  • Contipation
    fibre is very important to keep the digestive system healthy and prevent constipation because the digestive system, slows down and faeces collect inside it, instead of being passed out.
  • Fibre is Mostly Cellulose
    plant cell walls are made of cellulose, so foods made from plants are a good source of fibre and most of them contain lots of diff minerals and vitamins too.
    found in: cereal grains, seeds, fresh fruit & veggies.
  • Peristalsis
    the involuntary contraction and relaxation of muscles around the digestive tract.
    It moves food through your digestive system.
