  • Water Cycle
Percipitation, Surface Runoff, Interception, Infiltration, Throughflow, Ground water flow, Evaporation, Transpiration, Condensation
  • Percipitation - Moisture that reaches the earths surface as rain snow or hail.
  • Surface Runoff - Percipitation that flows on the grounds surface eventually ending up in rivers or lakes
  • Interception - When water is intercepted by plants preventing it from reaching the surface of the earth.
  • Infiltration - Percipitation seeps through into sub surface soils and moves into rocks through cracks
  • Throughflow - Downslope movement of water through the soil
  • Evaporation - When water from water sources is changed from dropplets into water vapour due to heat
  • Transpiration - Evaporation or diffusion of water from plant leaves
  • Condencasion - Water Vapour is converted back into liquid form or solid form due to temperature decrese with height
  • Transpiration - The movement of water up plants and its subsequent loss as water vapour from their leaves
