  • It was meant to be a good day.I had volunteered to help with the local primary school trip for my work experience. The primary school decided on going to a museum to help the kids explore the history behind it. My hands started sweating as I got into the bus, the blazing sun was almost blinding me. The smell of burning leaves filled the air. The bus was filled with the scent of warm sweat and socks from the bus driver. The kids lined up behind the bus and slowly got seated. The teacher ordered the kids to be silent while she explained the safety precautions needed on the trip.
  • As the bus driver began to accelerate off, the kids were talking to their friends while the teacher’s and myself were gossiping at the front. After 15 minutes, the bus was in long traffic. The lines of cars stretched endlessly down the road, barely inching forward as the minutes went by. Horns honked impatiently while the kids began to be a bit louder than usual. They started shouting and threw a tantrum at us when we tried to calm them down.
  • Halfway through traffic, a kid's face turned pale, and beads of sweat formed around their forehead as they clutched their stomach. As I went up to them to see if they were okay, they puked all over me. A gushing green liquid was all over me. The kids stared at me in complete disgust while the teachers tried to get their attention by telling them to face the front. I handed the sick kid a paper bag so they could finish puking.
  • The sun began to sizzle while I was stuck with clothes that reeked of waste. I had no extra clothing with me, and I was drenched with puke. My scent changed and the thought of it disgusted me everytime. I was drenched in sweat and puke. The kids started shouting really badly again, to the point where the teachers have given up on trying to calm them down. It was a whole nightmare.
  • We finally arrived at the museum, the teachers lined the kids outside the museum and checked if everyone was present. The noise of shouting went down, it was much quieter. It was finally peaceful, the wind breezed calmly. After we spent the whole day exploring the museum it was time to go back home. I had to experience the same thing again with the traffic and kids shouting. It was the worst experience.
