  • Gilroy - racist stereotypes

    Gilroy also proposed that racial identities and stereotypes were the product of racism.

    refers to the one in ten Black men that have cultivated the ability to become leaders of the Black community by acquiring a college education, writing books, and becoming directly involved in social change.
  • ethnocentrism
    • seeing an issue from the perspective of your own cultural heritage - usually referring to white European perspective
    • e.g Judging others based on their language (often assuming English is, or should be, the default).
