  • Food Insecurity - It refers to the state of being without consistent access to an adequate quantity of affordable nutritious food.
  • Hunger - often refers to a complex state of a person who with no single source to obtain food
  • Uncertainty - this usually happens whenever the ability to acquire suitable foods in freely satisfactory way is limited or future availability and access of food is unsure.
  • Insufficiency - this usually happens whenever there is a perception of malnutrition, which is a disorder due to insufficient intake of nutrients to meet necessary body cells requirements for a healthy living.
  • Hunger - is usually understood as an uncomfortable or painful sensation caused by insufficient food energy consumption. Scientifically, hunger is referred to as food deprivation.
  • Malnutrition - results from deficiencies, excesses or imbalances in the consumption of macro- and/or micronutrients.
