    We are called to be monotheistic (worship one god). this means putting god first always and not putting anything else in front of god even money, power or celebrities

    Do not misuse Gods name to swear. Treat it with respect and only use it when we are communicating to him or about him

    Take a day to remember what is important, spend time with god
  • Honour your parents
    We should obey and respect not just our parents but also our elders and our leaders
  • Don't kill
    Taking of any ones life is forbideen
  • Don't commit adultery
    You should be committed to your wife or husband and no one else
  • Do not steal
    Do not take anything that does not belong to you
  • Don't bear false witness
    Do not lie about another person or make things up about them
  • Do not covet
    Do not be jealous of other peoples things as this can lead to us acting wrongly and being ungrateful for what we have
  • "I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. You shall have no other Gods before me"
    "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your strength"
    Punishment was death if broken. Unlikely to break but served as thanks to god for freeing them from Egypt.
