Introduction

• Pressure groups are groups who apply pressure to governments and are outside of government. Inside pressure groups are groups who are regularly consulted by parliament like Fare Share whilst outsider pressure groups are groups who do not appeal to parliament like Just Stop Oil.
• Lobbyists are organisations who apply pressure to parliament like Facebook and Google.
• Think-tanks are bodies of experts who provide advice to the government.
• In this essay it will be argued that Pressure groups are the ultimate influencers on government decisions as they reinforce rights whilst lobbyists only try to maintain their organisation’s rights and think-tanks can only provide advice and are politicalized.
