Plates that collide with each other have destructive/ convergent boundaries. Here, the crust is destroyed. The heavier plate is pushed under the lighter plate (subduction). The heavier plate melts into the mantle and the lighter plate is lifted up, forming fold mountains. These can also form earthquakes and volcanos. E.g The Andes when the Nazca and South American plate collided
