• There are (2) types of computer error:

  • Hardware error
  • Software error
• A failure or malfunction of a hardware piece in a system unit.There are types of errors are seen in the tangible part of the computer system

  Hardware system
• Error:Peripheral not recognize

  Description:Known Good peripherals are working on other ports or system unit

  Motherboard Replacement
• Error:No power self test (post)

  Description:The system does'nt power on self test.if the other hardware are working on other mother boards,Its a problem in the motherboard ports.

  motherbbpard replacement
• Error: No power

  Description: The system doesn't turn confirmed working. when power Button is pressed but PSU is confirmed working

  Check the jumpers connected from the Motherboard to Power Button (I/O)
• Error:No audio (internally)

  This is caused by the internal speaker not properly connected to the motherboard

  Reseat the internal speaker and properly seat in the motherboard
• Error:Video card not detected

  Video card is not detected in the device manager

  Reseat the card and clean the gold teeth
• Error:No Display

  Monitor has no display when connected to the video card

  Check the ports and cable in use
• Error:Overheating

  System gets too hot and frequent reboots.The processors gets least ventilation 


  Reapply thermal paste and clean the fan
• Error:Burning Smell

  A clear indication that the power supply malfunctioning

  Replace Power Supply Unit (PSU)
• Error:Frequent Shut Offs

  System does'n t restart but completely turns off.This is caused by low voltage output of the power supply.


  Remove other components in the system unit Or replace the PSU
• A crucial part of the system unit.This is where all the files you used in the system are being stored

  Hard disk drive errors
• Error:No bootable Device

  The hard isk is not detected

  Check the data and power cable of the hard disk.ensure that it is properly connected
• Error:Bad sector

  This error disables a certain part in the hard drive which make it unusable 


  Format the hard drive and install OS
• Error: Slow Boot Up

  The system may be sluggish when you turn it on and takes long time to boot up.


  Check the health of the hard drive by doing Chkdsk/F in command prompt
• Erorr:Download takes too long

  Hard disk drive is starting to get full if not already
• Error:Corrupted data

  When you open the application,it does'nt respond. The hard drive is experience gradual failure.


  Scan the hard dribe in command prompt usi g chkdsk to fix or consider replacing the hard drive it continously fail
• Error:Unwanted sound

  Whirring or screeching noise coming from the hard drive.Can also be caused of disappearing files

  Description:The system does unwanted freezing while in use

• Error:No display/ LED LIGHT OFF

  The monitor is not geeting any power source

  Check the power cable of the monitor and ensure.It is properly connecetd
• Error: No Display / LED light Orange

  Description: The monitor has power but no display and LED is in color orange state.


  Solution: Check the video/display cable and ensure it is properly connected.
• Error: Discoloration, Distortion, and Flickering Screen.

  Description:

  Monitor is displaying inaccurate colors

  The monitor display distorted images.

  Sudden blank the Monitor then goes back to normal screen

  Check OSD menu and reset the setting to default
• Error: Dead Pixel and burn in

  Description:

  Small dark or bright dots in screen.

  The image shown in the screen gets stuck for a certain period of time


  Solution: Monitor Replacement
• Error: Slow Performance

  Description: The system boots up properly but performance is degrading throughout the usage

  Solution: Check the power cable of the monitor and ensure it is properly connected
• Error: Missing RAM

  Description: The size of RAM seating in the motherboard is more than what you seeing in properties

  Solution: Reseat the memory module/s
• Error: Keyboard not detected

  Description: Keyboard not recognize by the system and has no sign of power.

  Solution: Reseat the keyboard
• Error: Mouse is not detected

  Description: Mouse is not recognize by the system and has no signs of power

  Solution: Reseat the mouse
• Error: No Audio (Speakers)

  Description: The system doesn't turn on when power button is pressed buy PSU is confirmed working

  Solution: Check the audio jack or the power cable of the speakers
• Error: Flash Disk not detected

  Description: USB tried other system but still not recognize

  Solution: Flash Disk Replacement
• Error: System Performance is Sluggish (No Virus/ Malware)

  Description: Surely determined that the system has not virus malware. The issue is caused by too many start ups

  Solution: Go start up items and disable unnecessary applications that eats up memory
• Error: Internet is Slow

  Description: Internet is Slow

  Solution: Check for the applications that are constantly using the internet (mostly auto- updates) and turn it off
• Error: Pop-up Ads

  Description: Whilst browsing the internet, you are getting o many pop ups, the system is possibly infected by virus o malware.

  Solution: Clean the system by any of the ff:

  Clean installation of operating system.

  Scan with antivirus

  Install an ad blocker
• Error: Attachments Won't Open

  Description: Attachment from email or internet itself won't open when download

  Solution: Check the application used and install/ updates to the most update one
• Error: Blue screen of Death (BSOD)

  Solution: Reinstallation of Operating System.

  Description: You have already isolated that the hardware is fine But still getting a bluescreen error. This is mainly caused by corrupted
• Error: Missing.dll files

  Description: Can't get to start applications and getting an application error with missing files/.dll

  Solution: Reinstallation of the corrupted app will solve the issue.
• Error: Application Won't Install

  Description: Application Won't install even you have enough space in the hard drive.

  Solution: Re download the install you are using.
• Error: Autorun.inf

  Description: This is a type of malware where your files go hidden and creates a shortcut of your drive.

  Solution: To remove autorun.inf, scan it with antivirus or format the system
• Motherboard errors:

  • Peripheral not recognize
  • No power on self test
  • No power
  • No audio (internally)
