• Classification and Identification of fingerprints - is very important  in the field of detection and investigation. 
• bifurcation may not be selected as a delta if it does not

  open towards the core.
• bifurcation should be the first ridge  formation in front of the divergence of the type lines
• When there is a choice between two or more possible delta,   the one nearest to the core is selected.
• When there is a choice between two or more possible delta one of which is a bifurcation, the bifurcation should be selected
• The delta may not be located on the middle  of the ridge   running between the type lines towards the core, but at the   end of the ridge.
