  • AIC model (action, intention, circumstance)
    • is a process that Catholics can use to make a good decision
  • Action
    • actions that obey God's law are morally good and vice versa
    • if follows god's law or does not require moral consideration can move onto next step
    • if action breaks God's law then AIC process doesn't need to go further.
    • E.g. having a glass of alcohol
  • Intention
    • refers to the motivation or reason behind an action
    • the person's intention must be right as well
    • if action is good can move onto next step
    • E.g. To have a good time
  • Circumstance
    • the circumstance includes consequences
    • if these consequences go against God's law, then it is morally wrong
    • E.g. Driving after drinking and the consequence is putting yourself and others in danger.
