Homeostasis is how the body regulates the internal conditions, even when the external environment changes
The body controls the internal environment using negative feedback loops. When the level of something gets too high or low, the body responds using negative feedback to bring it back to normal
A stimulus is a change in the environment
Negative feedback
The receptor detects a stiumuls where the level is too high or low
The coordination centre recieves and process the information, then organises a response
Effector produces a response which counteracts the change and restores it to the optimum level , so it either increases or decreases
The effectors continue producing responses for as long as they are stimulated by the coordination centre
