• the tropical rainforests have an equatorial climate because of the intensity of the suns rays at the equator leads to extreme heat rising, which leads to convectional rainfall
• the trees intercept the rain, however some rainfall reaches the ground and washes away any nutrients that are in the soil
• trees take up some some of the water and then it evaporates and the cycle repeats itself
