    • Old age pensions were introduced in 1908, for anyone over 70 who didn’t have enough to live on
    • Education for mothers was introduced in 1907, where all births had to be reported to the medical officer and then a health visitor would come over and make sure mothers could take care of their babies
    • The National Insurance Act was introduced in 1911, meaning that when a worker became sick, they received 10d per week for 26 weeks and free medical care. Women, children, unemployed, elderly and people with chronic illnesses were excluded
    • School meals were made free in 1906
    • In 1912 there was free medical treatment in schools
