  • Uses cognitive behavioural techniques in hope to control the individuals anger and violence
    1. Cognitive preparation: establish individual's triggers, discuss what things make them angry, which are challenged 
    2. Skill aquisition: techniques to get emotions under control eg meditation, calming or self reassurance 
    3. Application practice: formerly anger-provoking situations are re-enacted and offender practises controlling anger using the newly applied techniques in a non-threatening environment
