• What are the 3 types of Seismic waves?

  P-Waves, S-Waves and L-Waves
• State in descending speed order of the types of seismic waves

  P-waves (weakest), S-waves (moderate) then L-Waves (strongest)
• Primary Waves (P-Waves) are longitudinal waves that travel through the Earth's outer core and mantle
• Secondary Waves (S-Waves) are Transverse waves that travel through the Earth's mantle and crust
• Love Waves (L-Waves) are transverse waves that travel along the crust
