Why can a crack inside a metal object be shown in a x-ray image?:
The crack shows up as a dark line or area in contrast to the lighter appearance. When X-rays encounter a crack, there is less material to absorb them. As a result, more X-rays pass through the crack compared to the surrounding metal.
What UV waves, X-rays and Gamma rays can damage:
UV= Skin, Eyes
X-Rays= Ionise living cells (leads to mutation)
Gamma Rays= Ionise living cells (leads to mutation)
