Ch7: Moral Wisdom

• Things that influence our morality:

  • Family - they teach us what is right and wrong and consequences of our actions from a young age
  • Friends - they are a great support and help when we are in trouble or need advice so that we stay out of danger's path
  • School - they teach us how to work and live in a community of other people and also teach the theme of morality in subjects
  • Media - many people find events on the news and discuss if it was right or wrong to happen.
  • Religion - being moral doesn't require religion but it is an important influence, as each religion has a distinct moral code.
