Filtration

• Filtration - separates an insoluble solid from a liquid- E.G. Sand can be separated from a mixture of sand and water using filtration.
• Filtration

  • Involves pouring the mixture into a filter funnel and paper.
  • E.G. mixture is poured onto filter paper - sand remains in the filter paper at the end if the process and the water collects in conical flask.
