  • Memorable metaphor used by Robert frost is the idea of gold in the poem nothing gold can stay. This metaphor is used in the poem through the title and the first line. Gold serves as a metaphor for a beauty, life, wealth in other words is prized possessions and items that are value to me. This metaphor was memorable because it made me think about gold in my life and life itself. The idea of the gold in my life being transient made me to realise that life is too short and that I should enjoy it.
  • Like the poem depicts gold as ephemeral as it fades away. I think the poem is passing on a message that we should appreciate the gold in our lives while it lasts. Lastly it’s memorable because when I’m stressing I think about how beautiful the gold in my life is and then I realise that it isn’t long-lasting so I try to make the most out of it.
