Cross cultural consistency

• Wakabayashi et al

  conducted a large study in Japan,almost 1500 people,some with ASD and some from general public

  and 1250 uni students

  checked how good at E and S they were with EQ and SQ
• people with ASD scored lower lower on E and higher on S compared to others
• In the other 2 groups

  females scored higher on E but lower on S compared to males
• when preformed on a collectivist culture,the results are still the same
• results show that ASD is not influenced by culture,more likely linked to biology
