  • What if the patient wasn't studied while they were alive
If the patient was not studied while they were alive (e.g. no primary data) - data is gathered about their behaviour from secondary sources
  • What is PMA and how does it work
Post-mortem analysis is the analysis of a person's brain after their death. Researchers study a person's abnormal behaviour while they're alive. After death, they analyse the structure of the brain(PMA) by comparing it to a neurotypical brain to ascertain which parts aren't functioning well.
  • How does PMA help

Helps researchers work out which part of the brain is abnormally structured. Areas of the brain found to be damaged during PMA are seen as correlated with abnormal behaviour.
