Elements of Communication

• Speaker - Source of information or message
• Encode - Process of translating the idea
• Message - the information that is being sent to the receiver. It is the conveyed by the speaker in words or actions
• Channel - The medium or the means through which the message is transmitted.
• Receiver - The person or group that receives the message.
• Decoding - Process of interpreting the message.
• Feedback - The reaction, response, or reply of the reciever.
• Context - The situation or environment of the speech
• Barrier - Factors that negatively affect the flow of communication.
• 1. The source or sender conceives an idea.
  2. The sender encodes the message appropriate for the receiver.
  3. The sender transmits the message through a channel.
  4. The receiver receives the message
  5. The receiver tries to decode and understand the message
  6. The receiver then provides feedback
