  • decreased output from 8 to 5 million tonnes per year (transported by train) for construction (roads)
• Environmental Sustainability:

  • restored with wildlife lakes for recreation and water supplies
  • limestone features will make landscape more natural
  • 200 acres landscaped to be like the countryside
  • monitoring noise, air and water pollution
  • railway means less impact for local roads (traffic/pollution)
• Deepen quarry 2012 extended to 2040 instead of expanding wider which was approved in 2012
