    The two types of law that make up the majority of the law are (1) statutes and (2) case law.
    1. Statutes: Laws coming from Parliament and legislation – most important in Canada and trumps (if constitutional) judge-made law.
    2. Case Law (also referred to as judge-made law): Law created by the courts.
