X and Y chromosomes

• There are 23 pairs of chromosomes in every human body, 22 of these are matched pairs which control characteristics
• The 23rd pair are labelled XY or XX, these decide your sex
• Males have an X and Y chromosome: XY
• Females have two X chromosomes: XX
• There’s is a 50% chance for each sex
