NUMBERS

• NATURAL NUMBER:any whole number from 1 to infinity
• ODD NUMBER: a whole number that can't be divided by 2(e.g. 1,3,5,7)
• EVEN NUMBER: a whole number that can be divided by 2
• INTEGER: any of the negative and positive whole numbers, including 0(e.g. -3,-2,-1,0,1,2,3)
• PRIME NUMBER: a natural number greater than 1 whose only factors are 1 and itself (e.g. 2,3,5,7,11)
• SQUARE NUMBER: the product obtained when an integer is multiplied by itself(e.g. 2x2=4)
• CUBE NUMBER: the product obtained when an integer is multiplied by itself twice(e.g. 2x2x2=8)
• FRACTION: a number representing parts of a whole number
• multiples =the time table for that number
• factors are numbers that multiply to to give that number(e.g. 1x12, 2x6, 3x4)
• common multiple - the smallest multiple shared between two or more numbers
• least common multiple - the least common multiple of three or more numbers
• product - the result of multiplying two or more numbers together
• HCF= highest common factor
• LCM: lowest common multiple
