During the medieval era, the streets were grimy and incredibly dirty, which led to a stench, and people believed that disease came from that smell
How did people try to fight against miasma?
People would carry sweet smelling flowers or herbs to try and combat the smell. Some people also used to shoot bullets into the air to try and damage the miasma.
