    • A financial enterprise aims to make a profit by supplying goods and services to businesses or consumers. Examples; shops, construction companies, banks, insurers
  • Role in Society:
    • Provide a wide range of goods and services
    • Employ a major amount of people
    • Pay large amounts of tax to the government
    • Provide finance to local sports clubs and events by sponsorship
  • Support for Financial Enterprises; Microfinance Ireland:
    • Provides loans between €2k to €25k to help start up businesses
    • To qualify for the loan, the business must have between 1 and 10 employees and an annual turnover less than €2m
    • Only then, loans are given if the business's objective is profitable
