• some people are against stem cell research because human embryos shouldnt be used for experiments as each one is a potential human life
• others think curing existing patients is more important
• embryos used in the research are usually unwanted from fertility clinics which would probably just be destroyed
• scientists should focus more on finding and developing other sources of stem cells so people can be helped without having to use embryos
• in some countries stem cell research is banned, in the UK you have to follow strict guidlines
