  • Social Safety Nets: Democratic reforms sometimes led to the implementation of social safety nets, such as minimum wage laws and rudimentary welfare programs. This created a more stable social order and a larger pool of potential consumers, further stimulating economic growth.
• Tensions and Conflicts:
